Winter Carnival Event!

Curtis 16th Annual Winter Carnival will be held on Saturday, February 13th, 2010.  10 am to 4 pm

Events for this year's Winter Carnival  include a chili cook-off, food booths, bake sale, kid's games, cookie walk,  turkey bowling, kid's mini sled challenge, and Curtis Fish Coop ice fishing, bonfire to warm you, Snow Sculpture Contest and Fireworks at Dusk. New this year are dog sled rides by Natures Kennel, chainsaw sculpting demonstration by renowned sculptor, James Denkins, and an ice skating rink!

Over 1,500 people attend our Winter Carnival on the Ice every year. It's a huge event that just keeps getting bigger and better.  This year's exhibit by James Denkins of Cooks, chainsaw sculptor.  Talented and so much fun to watch work!

 

 2010 Chili Cook off Winners:  First Place : Marilyn Zellar with her "Yooper White-out Chili, Second Place :  Weber's Rustic Inn with their "Smokehouse Chili"!  Third Place: Tony Reusch  from the Whitefish Inn with "Tony's Backwoods Chili"  Yum, Yum!
